Chadha’s Adda

Parel | 2,300 S.ft. | 2011

A perfect hangout for family and friends being the vision of the client, led to merging the two apartments to make a large open space for all three generations in one house. While the whole house follows a very pristine look with marble flooring, the living and the TV zone in the lounge along with the bedrooms were given wooden floors.

Clean, simple, contemporary and easy-on-the-eye décor has swanky furniture that was custom designed for the space, though the centre table in the living room is the iconic Noguchi coffee table from Japan. Though a large apartment, the easy flow of one area into the other keeps it all together. The bar, however, is deliberately in stark contrast with the rest of the house and is the conversation point in this project.

The optimum utilization of space is the hallmark of this residence. It is a very contemporary apartment, yet it is not stark or clinical in its look. It is a warm home that reflects the personalities of its inmates.
