HCL/JLM

Lower Parel | 11,000 sq. ft | 2012

Similar management working styles amidst two business giants called for a merger, to increase efficiency and productivity. This matured in the joint venture of the HCL and JL Morrison offices to run adjacently barring, a certain level of privacy for specific zones.

Making room for the management, conference & board rooms as well as for open office & utility was a task in itself. Nevertheless against all odds, finding its place is the captivating Cafeteria and Recreation zone having an easy accessibility to all working zones. Ancillary spaces for business heads with supporting open office areas get incorporated into the design, all in all to create the work environment that the client was seeking.

The client wanted the transformation to be evident in the new office by way of conventional old school to modern day contemporary design principles – a retreat from their former traditional design and working. The design however, stays true to the simple yet elegant theory – a reflection of the Old Calcutta based ethos of the owners with old money.
